German medical schools?

I am American and I want to go to medical school in Germany. I don't really understand the whole system for it. I want to go to school in Germany to become a Plastic Surgeon. Here I would go to get a bachelors degree then continue to get a doctorate. Is it the same in Germany because I read somewhere that medical school is just 6yrs with no undergraduate school? I also read that you need to get a masters degree then continue to get a doctorate. So I am a little confused. Does any one know the schooling to become a doctor in Germany (I'm not asking about what I have to do to be accepted into a German school because I already know what to do).
