Slave computer issues?

ok i have a laptop set up as a slave computer and my desktop is the master, now i have full control of the laptop whenever i do something like open firefox or a text document, here is the problem i have this MMORPG called Fiesta that i was wanting to control with the desktop keyboard and mouse while i work on my desktop, now i can open the program up and enter my username and password but when it loads i lose the ability to control the slave with the master computer. now i can only control the laptop with the touch panel and once i take the focus away from the game window i get access from the master again, i only lose control when the game window is the focus, i tried a few permission changes even setting the master-slave program to run as admin, is there anyway around this or is this program limited to use local keyboard and mouse
